What is a DC to AC inverter?

DC to AC inverters are devices that convert a DC (direct current) power supply into an AC (alternating current). It is well known that DC is a relatively stable and positive voltage source, while AC oscillates around a nominal 0V level, usually in a square or sinusoidal waveform.

DC to AC Applications
The most common application of inverter technology is to change the voltage from a battery into an AC signal, which can be used for all types of electronics today.
