Purevolt is one of the largest manufacturers of motorized dimmerstats and a leading exporter of variable auto transformers (Variacs) available in both single-phase and three-phase configurations.
Our continuously variable auto transformers provide different sweep times for speed control through the gears. The sweep time varies depending on whether a single-phase or three-phase dimmerstat is used. These variable auto transformers are designed for heavy-duty, trouble-free operation, with all components engineered to provide maximum durability under severe operating conditions.
The motorized models allow for remote control of large power loads. These motorized Variacs can be installed in out-of-the-way locations, while the control station can be placed wherever desired. This provides extreme flexibility, as the installation location does not need to accommodate the entire variable auto transformer assembly. The servo motor drive is a compact integral unit mounted on top of the assembly and comes with knockouts for cable or conduit connections.
We offer variable auto transformers in both air-cooled and oil-cooled models, depending on the rating. These units are ideal for a wide range of applications and are supplied with all terminations brought out for easy external connection. Single-coil models are available from 2 A to 200 A, while higher currents are achieved using ganged coils. We can supply up to 600 A in single-phase and up to 1800 A in three-phase assemblies.
Additionally, we offer higher output voltage models with optional features such as voltmeters, ammeters, motorization, and enclosures, customized according to client specifications and requirements.
