Servo Voltage Stabilizer Operates and Functions ?
Servo controlled voltage stabilizers utilize a solid-state electronic control circuit, designed using a glass epoxy PCB, to monitor and control the servo motor operation as per system requirements. An AC synchronous servo motor is electrically connected and mechanically coupled to the arm of a dimmerstat (variable auto transformer), which feeds the primary winding of a series-controlled buck–boost transformer.
Any variation in the input voltage generates an error signal that is sent to the PCB control card. This signal is suitably amplified and used for corrective action—either increasing or decreasing the output voltage as required. The output voltage of the servo stabilizer is continuously compared with a reference voltage, and the resulting error signal precisely controls the AC synchronous servo motor. This ensures true proportional voltage control, unlike conventional on/off type control circuits.
