Step Up
Transformer

A step-up transformer increases the voltage from primary to secondary, i.e. more secondary turns than primary turns. In this example, if the customer wants the isolation transformer to step up the voltage from 120 V to 240 V, then the secondary windings of the transformer will be twice as many turns as the primary windings.

This step-up transformer can be supplied in a variety of capacities and can be customized to suit the requirements of the customer. We provide step up isolation transformers that can be used with a wide variety of Indian and imported machines and equipments, and these step up isolation transformers are fully customized. In accordance with the customer's requirements, we can provide digital meters and suitable connections.

FAQs Related to
Step-up Transformer

Working Principle of Step-up Isolation Transformer

A step-up transformer operates according to the principle of mutual inductance. It converts alternating low voltage into alternating high voltage. The secondary coil has a greater number of turns than the primary coil.

Different Factors of a Step Up Transformer

There are a number of factors to consider when choosing a step up transformer. Some of the most important factors are: a transformer's rating, its efficiency, the cooling medium, the number of phases, and the material of the windings

Difference between Distribution Transformer and Power Transformer?

Power transformers are used in transmission networks that have high voltages. Compared with a distribution transformer, a low voltage distribution network uses a transmission transformer.

What are the different types of transformers?

Transformers come in a variety of types, including step-up, step-down, power, distribution, instrument, and potential, as well as single-phase, three-phase, and auto.

Why are transformers rated in kVA?

Since they do not change the power factor (PF) of their output power. Transformers are rated in KVA ratings.
