At Purevolt, we manufacture advanced 3 Phase Sine Wave Online UPS systems designed for industries and businesses that require uninterrupted power supply and complete protection from voltage fluctuations.

We are recognised as a trusted manufacturer of Industrial Online UPS, offering dependable power backup solutions for commercial and mission-critical applications.

Power conditions in India and African countries can be unstable — voltage dips, spikes, generator switching issues, and harmonic disturbances are common. Our true online double conversion UPS systems are engineered specifically for such demanding environments, making them an ideal industrial power protection solution.

We manufacture both:

  • Single Phase Online UPS

  • Three Phase Online UPS

Covering a wide range of capacities for offices, IT infrastructure, hospitals, banks, manufacturing units, and industrial equipment.

True Online Double Conversion with Inbuilt Isolation Transformer

Our Online UPS system delivers clean, regulated, and fully isolated sine wave output power.

Every Purevolt UPS includes a built-in heavy-duty isolation transformer, ensuring:

  • Complete electrical isolation

  • Protection from surges, spikes, and noise

  • Stable output voltage regulation

  • Enhanced equipment safety

Unlike many imported high-frequency UPS systems, our units do not require an additional external isolation transformer. This reduces installation cost and improves overall system reliability.

With advanced double conversion technology, the input AC power is converted to DC and then back to AC, ensuring zero transfer time and continuous power supply during mains failure.

Optional SNMP-based remote monitoring allows real-time UPS monitoring, battery status tracking, and system diagnostics over the internet.

Advanced High-Frequency
Technology for Efficient Performance

Our UPS systems are built using microprocessor-controlled high-frequency PWM inverter technology with active power factor correction.

This ensures:

  • High input power factor

  • Reduced harmonics at input and output

  • Fast response to sudden load changes

  • Smooth performance under non-linear loads

  • Superior efficiency and reduced energy losses

Designed for high crest factor loads such as servers, medical equipment, CNC machines, and data centre applications, our UPS provides stable and uninterrupted power backup even under demanding operating conditions.

FAQs Related to
Online UPS

Difference between Online UPS and Offline UPS?

Offline UPSs provide direct AC mains power to the load if the mains supply is present. When there are insufficient power supplies, it immediately switches to the inverter to provide power until the main supply is restored. Off-line UPS power supplies are ideal for normal operation since they do not monitor incoming voltage and are therefore not convenient for all networking systems.

Online UPS are different from Offline UPS in that their inverters are always connected to the battery, thereby avoiding the need for a power switch. The inverter automatically disconnects from the circuit in the event of a power failure, ensuring that the battery maintains an uninterrupted supply of power. In the event of a power outage, the inverter kicks in and continues supplying power and charging the battery.

What is the process of online UPS?

A UPS, or uninterruptible power supply, is an electrical device that provides emergency power to a load in the event that the mains power is unavailable. Typically, an online UPS device is one in which the output of the UPS is always providing current to the load. Despite its ageing and low cost, this UPS system only adjusts its output to match the load when the main power fails. This results in a momentary spike that can slow down computers and limit their functionality. As a result, with an online UPS system, the batteries are continuously charged by the mains, and the UPS output is generated by the batteries. Therefore, if the power fails, there is no interruption to the electricity supply. Additionally, such a system offers additional protection against short circuits and voltage shedding on the main line.

Applications of Online UPS

Private hospitals and clinics | Research Centers and Laboratories | Industrial Processes | Computers, Data Centers, Server Rooms and Search Data Centers | Network Operations Centers and Telecommunication Networks | Commercial facilities with expensive equipment and sensitive household equipment

Working Principal of Online UPS

Online UPSs are typically powered by a ‘double-conversion’ method that consists of receiving AC input, rectifying to DC for passing through the rechargeable battery (or strings of batteries), then reverting back to 120 V/230 V AC for delivering power to protected appliances. During events such as blackouts, voltage surges, voltage sags or overvoltages, online UPS supplies power. UPSs provide consistent, clean, and near-ideal power, regardless of the energy source. The UPS converts AC power into DC and then back to AC power.

Components of Online UPS System

Battery Charger and Rectifier, Inverter, Static Transfer Switch, Logic & Control System, Battery Bank, Diagnostics & Communication Units. The medium and large capacity online UPS systems require a significant amount of power semiconductors, including GTOs, MCTs, MOSFETs, and Darlington pairs. The large and medium Online UPSs handle extensive voltages and currents, therefore they are mounted on specially designed heatsinks. In the rectifier blocks and inverter, this UPS acts as a control element.
