Online UPS Manufacturer in India
A power cut lasts a fraction of a second. That is long enough to crash a server, corrupt a database, halt a CNC controller mid-cycle, or shut down a hospital ventilator. An online UPS prevents all of that. It keeps your equipment running on clean, battery-backed power at all times, not just when the mains fail. The mains simply charges the battery; your load never draws directly from the grid at all.
Purevolt India has been manufacturing sine wave online UPS systems since 1995 at our Okhla, Delhi facility. We supply single phase and three phase configurations from 1 KVA to 500 KVA across India and to over 60 countries. Every unit uses true online double conversion technology and is ISO 9001 certified.
Purevolt Online UPS Range
Three product lines covering every capacity and configuration requirement, from a small office to a full industrial plant.
Single Phase Online UPS
For homes, offices, clinics, retail shops, and IT equipment. Capacities from 1 KVA to 10 KVA and above. Double conversion technology with zero transfer time. Protects computers, CCTV, billing machines, networking gear, and medical instruments from power cuts, spikes, and voltage fluctuations.
Three Phase Online UPS
For large offices, hospitals, banks, ATMs, data centres, and manufacturing units. Capacities from 10 KVA to 500 KVA. True double conversion for mission-critical loads that cannot tolerate any interruption, regardless of power quality at the mains input.
High Frequency Online UPS
Three phase sine wave UPS with built-in isolation transformer, IGBT-based high-frequency PWM inverter, and active power factor correction. Designed for industrial, telecom, and data centre applications where generator compatibility, low harmonics, and compact footprint are all required simultaneously.
Online UPS vs Offline UPS: What Is the Difference?
The terms get used interchangeably in the market, but they describe completely different architectures with very different levels of protection.
- Load runs directly from mains under normal conditions
- Switches to battery only when mains fails
- Transfer time of 10 to 20 milliseconds during switchover
- Does not filter or regulate input voltage
- Spikes and surges pass through to connected equipment
- Suitable only for non-critical loads and basic computers
- Load always runs from inverter output. Mains feeds the battery.
- Zero transfer time during mains failure. No switchover at all.
- Completely regenerated sine wave output at all times
- Filters all input disturbances, surges, dips, harmonics, and noise
- Output voltage and frequency are stable regardless of input quality
- Required for servers, medical equipment, ATMs, CNC machines
How an Online UPS Works
Purevolt online UPS systems use true double conversion. Your load never touches the mains directly. Ever.
Rectifier Converts AC to DC
The incoming AC mains supply goes into a rectifier that converts it to DC. This DC charges the battery bank and simultaneously feeds the inverter. The mains is used only as a charging source, never as the direct supply to your load.
Inverter Generates Clean Sine Wave
The inverter takes DC from the battery bank and converts it to a clean, regulated 230V or 400V AC sine wave. This is what your equipment actually runs on at all times, whether the mains is present or not. Output frequency is crystal-controlled at 50 Hz plus or minus 0.01 percent.
Battery Bank Provides Backup
When the mains fails, nothing changes for your load. The inverter was already running from the battery bank, so there is no transfer, no switchover, and no interruption. The battery simply takes over the full load until the mains returns or the battery is exhausted.
Static Bypass for Overload
If the UPS is overloaded or requires maintenance, a static transfer switch bypasses the inverter and connects the load directly to the mains in milliseconds. This keeps the load running even during servicing without any physical disconnection.

Why Choose Purevolt for Online UPS?
30+ Years of Manufacturing Experience
Purevolt has been building power conditioning products since 1995. That is over three decades of engineering UPS systems, servo stabilizers, and transformers for Indian and export markets. The product quality reflects that experience, not just a warranty card.
Built-in Isolation Transformer
Purevolt online UPS systems include a heavy-duty isolation transformer as standard. Many imported high-frequency UPS systems do not include this and require an additional external unit. Purevolt’s inbuilt transformer gives complete electrical isolation and protection from surges and noise without extra cost or installation complexity.
Generator Compatible
Purevolt UPS systems are designed to work with generators, which is essential for Indian industrial sites where DG sets run during extended power cuts. The wide input voltage window and active power factor correction handle the variable frequency and voltage output of diesel generators without tripping the UPS or damaging the batteries.
Competitive Prices, Made in India
All Purevolt UPS systems are manufactured at our Okhla, Delhi facility. No import duties, no middle-men markups from overseas supply chains. You get a quality, ISO-certified Indian-made product at a price that makes sense, with local service support and readily available spares.
