Continuously Variable Transformer
We are engaged in the manufacturing and supply of manually operated Variable Auto Transformers, commonly known as Variacs or Dimmerstats.
These manually operated variacs/dimmerstats are available in both single-phase and three-phase configurations and are suitable for a wide range of applications. The normal output voltage range is 0 to 270 volts for single-phase units and 0 to 470 volts for three-phase units. We manufacture and supply open-type as well as enclosed variable transformers suitable for panel mounting.
The manually operated variac or dimmerstat is provided with a control knob and calibrated dial plate, allowing the output voltage to be increased or decreased smoothly and accurately. Any desired voltage within the maximum range can be achieved by adjusting the position of the brush. The calibrated dial indicates the approximate output voltage at no-load conditions when the input voltage is at its rated value.
Rotation of the brush arm, either manually or through a motor drive, delivers an output voltage ranging from zero to above the line voltage. Manufactured using advanced technology and high-quality materials, these variacs are designed for reliable and long-lasting performance. Additionally, we offer customization options such as higher output voltage ranges, voltmeters, ammeters, motorized operation, and protective enclosures as per customer requirements.
