Inbuilt Isolation Transformer.
The above unit consists of an Isolation Transformer integrated with a Servo Voltage Stabilizer. In many rural and semi-developed areas, the neutral supply is often improper, which leads to unstable incoming voltage. By using an isolation transformer, we are able to generate a dedicated neutral, which provides a stable neutral to the input of the servo voltage stabilizer. This significantly improves the efficiency and performance of the stabilizer.
This arrangement delivers a constant output voltage along with a properly maintained zero-potential neutral. In simple terms, the isolation transformer is DeltaโStar connected, and the input neutral is not used. The star-connected secondary winding provides a dedicated neutral, ensuring balanced single-phase and three-phase voltages.
This combination can be configured in various options to suit different applications.
An isolation transformer can be used as a step-up transformer, a step-down transformer, or as a 1:1 isolation transformer at the input, before the servo voltage stabilizer. In addition to voltage stabilization, the isolation transformer offers complete protection against surges and electrical spikes, with attenuation levels of 80โ100 dB.
This makes the unit highly versatile and suitable for remote locations and critical applications such as radar systems, medical equipment, and other sensitive installations that require electrically noise-free power.
