Transformer

A single-phase power isolation transformer consists of two windings—primary and secondary—that are electrically separated from each other but wound on the same iron core. The secondary winding, which provides the output, is completely isolated from the input side. The input and output circuits of the isolation transformer are entirely independent, connected only through magnetic coupling.

Due to the widespread use of inductive loads, capacitive loads, SMPS systems, electronic ballasts, and PWM-based switching equipment, modern AC power lines are often affected by harmful spikes, surges, transients, voltage sags, RFI noise, and harmonics. These disturbances significantly increase the failure rate of sensitive electronic equipment.

In many cases, failures do not occur immediately. Continuous exposure to electrical disturbances gradually weakens electronic components, reducing their lifespan. Line noise such as spikes, surges, and transients places stress on semiconductor devices, leading to software errors, PLC failures, data loss, and damage to storage media, which can result in substantial production downtime and loss of man-hours.
